THE PROGRAM
Little Lumens Childcare Center
Little Lumens is a new childcare center located in Sterling, Ma. We are currently opening as a small center with a teacher to child ratio of two to nine. In the fall of 2023, we will be opening our second classroom. Our unique classroom setups and engaging indoor gym areas are a highlight in our program. Our qualified teaching staff believe in the importance of community and the strong parent/teacher relationships. Our open door policies encourage parents to come in and visit any time. We are still learning and growing and hope to have you along the journey with us!
OUR APPROACH
Nurture, Inspire, Shine
Our approach allows children to involve themselves by planning and carrying out investigations. We provide a nurturing space that respects children and allows them to explore their imagination and gives them various resources to spark their interests. Different activities throughout the school year will help children communicate their understanding of concepts in a variety of ways. Children will play and interact in events with real-life materials to expand on their experiences and have their knowledge shine on in our community.
OUR PURPOSE
Everyday Adventures
We believe in providing children the opportunities to explore their interests and wants through play freely. We have an emergent curriculum where the children take the lead everyday, teachers and staff try to expand each child’s curiosity by providing meaningful invitations/provocations/activities. We respect our children and strive to provide them a homelike environment that allows children to feel safe in their everyday adventures.
